Derek “Fabulous” Warburton has dubbed himself as every womans  GBFFtm
( gay best friend forever). He lives his life to  entertain,  educate  and
make people feel good about themselves.  He grew up  always being  taken
care of by women and now he wants  to give it  all back to them.  Derek
attended New York’s Fashion  Institute of  Technology where he  developed
his keen fashion  sense and honed his  talent for styling.  As a fashion
editor,  correspondent, stylist  and motivational  speaker, Derek applies
his philosophy “Help,  Teach, Inspire, Love  and have Fun” to all  aspects
of his life.

Over the years Derek became an international stylist and  tastemaker.
He lived many years between Europe, Miami and the   northeast becoming  a
personal stylist with a diverse selection  of  international  clientele. He
was known as the “Man About  Town” in  Milan before  settling back in Miami.
While there, he  became a  co-partner in  Atomic Funk. Known as “the” place
to  book production  staff for the  top fashion photographers,  magazines
and brands  worldwide. In  addition Atomic during this  time became one of
the  “top personal  styling firms” in the  world according to Elite
Traveler.

While in Miami Derek became one of Florida’s leading celebrity
stylists. Between music videos, fashion shows and making a name  for
himself as a fashion director for various high-end lifestyle
publications, television soon became part of his repertoire. He  co-
hosted SKY televisions ” Fashion Avenue” with super model  Joddi   Kidd,
and “Big Boutique” on the Style Network and as a  fashion  trend  expert for
Fox morning show “Morning Blend”.

With his celebrity and socialite clientele and television   experience
in his back pocket, Derek moved to New York to expand   his career  profile
and move into media. His latest and most   prevalent endeavor,
dereklovesshopping.com has been the sounding   board for his message.
Help, Teach, Inspire, Love and have Fun   have become slogan to help  women
feel better about themselves.  The  website creates a fun  destination for
everyone to realize  that  they can be “Derek  Fabulous” no matter what
size! DLS  focuses on  celebrity looks and  how to recreate them for your
own life and of  course, on a budget.  In addition, the site is  home to
his popular  web series, “Derek TV”,  where he interviews  fashion and
lifestyle  influencers and discovers  the best shops.

Along with the website, Derek’s media career has taken off. He  has
become an international press darling. With features in The  New  York
Times, InTouch, Pepsi We Inspire, Boho and “The  Insider” and  was  seen on

“Daytime” as a  style guru. Plus, was  sponsored as one of  the “American
VIP’S”  to attend the fall 2010  fashion shows in New  Zealand. While  there
he was dubbed an instant  celebrity. He made  appearances  on “Breakfast”,
“Campbell Live”,  “Nightline” and the 6  o’clock  news was featured in every
newspaper  in the nation as the   American Style guru.

With his star on the rise, he will never forget his humble
beginnings. Having grown up homeless, he wanted to give back to  the  women
that took care of him. In the fall of 2009, Derek  started  the  “How to be
Derek Fabulous” program at Bottomless  Closet NYC,  in  which he teaches
disadvantaged women how to  dress appropriately  for  work. Going above and
beyond for the  clients, Derek works   individually with each woman at the
seminars to help select  garments  and listen to her style and  self esteem
concerns. In  November of  2010 has marked his 2 year  anniversary with the
program. He has  helped over 300 women.  Along with his program at
Bottomless Closet,  Derek also  supports Housing Works. He hosted  the
