Fashion Week Wrap Up! “Real Fashion, Real Women”

Fashion week has come and gone, and it was such a huge success for Team Fabulous!!!!!

Designer clothes, celebrities in the audience and a long white runway with a pile of press stationed at the end of it. Sounds like a typical fashion show, except our models were everyday, real women. Our show “Real Fashion, Real Women” was about using the everyday woman, rather than a trained agency represented model. And what made it even more special is, the real women we used all were women who had overcome real life obstacles and challenges. Whether it was unemployment, abuse, or just being completely down on their luck, these women all completed programs and seminars at the Bottomless Closet to get back on their feet.

As we mentioned before Derek Fabulous is heavily involved with the Bottomless Closet, and really keeps all the women he’s met close to his heart. So he was more than ecstatic to be able to have this show be the official last show for this season’s New York Fashion Week!!!!!
