By Martha Alburquerque, Founder: lelaluxe.com
Summer is here and we’re all scrambling to find the best swimsuit that’ll hide or accentuate the buns, doll-up your boobies, and for those of us that our budget conscious, able to wear it more than once. Luckily the multi-use bathing suit was one of the trends seen during the Spring/Summer 2010 runway shows.
Here are a few styles to look for when shopping that will make your transition from day to night when on vacation or especially at a beach party that goes from fun in the sun to sexy under the stars.
The first look is by the mother – daughter duo over at Le Doux Swimwear. Le Doux blends Brazilian sexiness with a relaxed California style. Their collections are inspired by the American glamour, the sensuality and beaches of Brazil. All of their swimsuits are cut Brazilian style, but “culturally adjusted” with a little extra fabric to create the perfect fit. Here you see one of their multi-use swimsuits from the Le Doux Summer 2010 collection. Check out their beautiful shiny black draped one piece swimsuit that can be used with a skirt or your sexy short shorts. $165.
The second look is from the Gottex Spring 2010 RTW collection. Newly appointed Head of Design, Molly Grad, has brought an amazing vibe to this fashion house. This one’s for the ultra-confident gal that isn’t obliged to conformity. Wear this set with a low rise skirt or just rock the top with your skimpy shorts.
The third look is by one of my favorite swimsuit designers, Carmen Marc Valvo. Here’s your chance to wear the plunging neckline while making sure your girls are safe and secure. Swimsuits are naturally constructed to keep your boobs in place whether in water or jumping up and down during a game of beach volley. If you were ever hesitant to wear this sultry look for fear that the nipple will make an appearance–here’s a reason not worry! The look is from Carmen Marc Valvo Summer 2010 collection which can be found in Lord & Taylor.
