Swim In Stripes
By Karen LaPorte
Nothing says nautical more than a striped swimsuit. There are yacht stripes, and regatta stripes, classic black and white stripes, and thin chalkstripes. It’s an athletic look, a preppy look and once again an all around classic look.
With many choices and styles available I have narrowed down a selection that will keep you on trend without the fear of horizontal stripes. Many of the bikini styles have tops and bottoms sold separately so if say you’d rather not have horizontal stripes going around your bum you can opt for a matching solid bottom.
DKNY offers us the Moma Stripe Bandeau and Moma Stripe Hipster Bottoms. This is a classic black and white wide stripe choice. A classic nautical look. I love the bandeau top, it ties in the back and has removable shoulder straps!
Ralph Lauren Swimwear has the most adorable and sporty striped set I’ve seen in awhile. This Yacht Club set features wide stripes in navy, white, and a pinkish red. The Halter Bikini top has goldtone rectangular hardware at the center bust. The matching Striped Hipster Bottoms also have matching hardware on the hip. Should you want the illusion of a one-piece there is also the Bandeau Halter Tankini Top that gives you full coverage. And if you don’t want a striped bottom there is the Fold Over Bikini Bottoms that give the illusion of stripes with the colored band but has a solid bottom. Pure genius!
And finally, sporty thinner stripes in red and white are offered by Nautica in the Chalkstripe Halter Tankini Set that comes with solid navy bottoms. There is also the Chalkstripe Racerback Tankini in blue and white stripes. These two give you full coverage without widening stripes around your hips!

I love the blue, orange, and white striped bandeau top bikini. Who makes it? How do I find it? Thank you
